Key Work quality assurance automation
Benefits
Prisons have valid monthly scores for all case notes rather than just a sample, enabling them to monitor Key Work delivery more effectively and make proactive decisions to improve performance. The National OMiC team can use their resources more effectively, with time previously spent on manual scoring now available to support prisons in delivering key work.

- The model processes approximately 80,000 case notes monthly. It uses a pipeline that extracts data from NOMIS, anonymizes personal information through NER, creates text embeddings, and classifies case note quality on a 0-4 scale. The model was trained on 18,233 case notes from May 2022 to September 2023 and is regularly monitored. [Source]
